Network Security
Our specialized technical security assessment services, performed by our team of specialized engineers and consultants, cover all aspects of an organization’s networking environment. The architecture and configuration of your networking operations are evaluated for both legitimate and unauthorized points of access, then any potential security vulnerabilities identified. The security assessments allow you to determine the likelihood of potential attacks, enabling them to secure their vital networking infrastructure. Our Vulnerability Assessment, conducted either externally or internally, can help you to identify security issues before they can be exploited. By conducting vulnerability scans, performed using a combination of automated tools and human analysis, we can simulate real-world probes and attacks and search for technical flaws or vulnerabilities that can be exploited by a potential hacker.
Upon completing our vulnerability scans, we provide a findings report detailing each issue, its associated severity rating, an exploitability risk rating, and one or more possible solutions for managing those risks. We also present these results with a risk assessment and a remediation plan that highlights the processes needed to eliminate exposure.
Different from the vulnerability scans, our Penetration Tests are designed to attempt exploitation of vulnerabilities external or internal to the system then identify the potential areas that may cause damage to the various systems and data. Our external and internal penetration testing effectively model different attack scenarios highlighting risks from the most simple requests to the largest most complex environments.
Conducted remotely, the external testing process utilizes manual resources to limit generic results from scanners and checklist methods found with generic vulnerability assessments. The internal penetration tests impose minimal business impact, and are conducted by a DataShield consultant who has normal to minimal system-access levels typically given to a typical employee or contractor. During the penetration testing, the identified systems, the pursued vulnerabilities, and the extent of the exploitation available to a tester from a remote or physical location are documented.
